Family Reunion?
As you all know, my Great Uncle Thurston passed away Thursday night around 10:30pm. You also know that my Uncle Gary from El Paso came in on Friday so that he could attend the funeral and go hunting with my dad, papaw, and other uncles. Saturday was a good day, I got to spend time with all of my uncles (my dad’s brother’s) and got to go visit Frosty and Tinker Bell (our German Sheppard's we gave to my uncle Mitch when we moved into our townhome because we had no where to put them). Tinker Bell was so happy to see me and Frosty was excited to see Ray and Callie (and me too of course).
But on Sunday, we had to drive to Williamsburg, KY for my Uncle Thurston’s lay out service. One good thing about Sunday was that I got to see family I hadn’t seen in probably 7-9 years. I really miss seeing that side of the family because when I was little we used to always visit them. Ray and I stayed and visited, the kids too, for three and a half hours until it was dinner time. So, I had to say good bye to my Uncle Gary because I wont see him again before he leaves due to them going hunting in Wisconsin for a week and then he is flying out of Chicago.
So that was my weekend. Not too much to talk about or maybe it’s just the opposite, too much to talk about. I love that Ray got to meet that side of the family and that they got to meet him and the kids. Hope everyone had a good weekend and have a good week, try not to work too hard.
