Fla. man says Home Depot fired him over God button - Yahoo! News

Okay this wasn’t a Cross button or any button that I would call a religious button, but one that says “One Nation Under God”. So why was he fired? Because Home Depot said it was against their dress code on wearing religious symbols or sayings. What has this Country come too? This really makes me sad and angry at the same time. I feel that the saying “One Nation Under God” is for EVERY American not just Christians because it is a part of our ‘Pledge of Allegiance’. So does this mean that Home Depot wont take US money anymore because it says “In GOD We Trust” on the back? Of course not. This country was founded on Christian beliefs, that’s why we are such a GREAT Country. But ever since we have taken away prayer in school, the 10 commandments, the right to wear a cross pin to work or school, etc but other Religions are still able to wear their religious clothes and still pray where ever!?!? The Bible says a Great Nation will fall.. this is the ONLY Great Nation that people from all over the world want to be a part of. WHAT IS YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Moving Week

Yes, it is finally here..time to move. I’m really excited about getting into our new house. It’s three bedrooms, 2 baths, big kitchen, living room, full basement and a garage. Our plan is to turn the basement into a play room for the kids and only keeping a few toys in their rooms. The only thing I hate about moving is trying to pack everything and make sure it’s organized so it’s easy to unpack once you get it over to the new place. Ray is dreading packing Callie’s and Anderson’s extremely heavy furniture down the stairs. Good thing is I have my dad and brother coming to help Ray and my mom to help me packing last minute things and cleaning and my sister will babysit for us. I just hope it going smoothly. We will be moving everything Saturday so this is going to be a busy week and a messy house.

A Very BIG Week

This has been such a ‘BIG’ week for Callie and Anderson. They have impressed me so much. Anderson is cutting his third and forth tooth, so he has been a little fussy this week. Last night was the FIRST night he slept ALL night, took his own bottle, and I didn’t have to get up with him one single time. Then to top off a good night of sleep, he walked his first steps by himself today. He is up to four steps. As you can imagine I was so excited and still am. Callie has had a major break through. Do you remember my post a while back saying that I was going to buckle down and really work on potty training Callie? Well, I never did. But the craziest thing happened the other day, she asked to wear big girl panties and just started peeing in the potty without me saying anything to her. I’m so proud of her! She has only had a couple of accidents since she started but I expect that. I think she is more proud of herself than anyone. My babies are growing up WAY too fast.

Hope...

After I posted earlier today, we drove out to Wilmore to look for a house. When we left here I didn’t have much hope on finding a place that was what we were looking for and in our price range. But, NEVER give up HOPE, the first house we found for rent was cheaper than what we pay now, has NEW carpet, fenced in back yard, and in a great neighborhood. Now all we have to do is give them my application and the deposit. YAY!!! I’m so excited! So I will update you later this week on our progress with getting our new place. And this month is going to be very few post and they will more than likely be about packing and moving. For instance, tonight my goal is to clean and organize the garage and clean the stove and refrigerator. Wish me luck.

Rental Property?

Ray and I loaded up the kiddos yesterday to start our search for a new place to live. But we came up empty. The ONLY place we found for rent, that had three bedrooms, was $850 a month which is $125 more than what we pay now. So when we got home I decided to search online to see if maybe we just missed some, but it looks like we didn’t. See last year we had this problem, I guess it’s because people usually move in the spring or summer not the fall. It seemed like last month everywhere we looked there was rent signs but now we can’t find any. If you know of any rental properties that are three bedroom around the Nicholasville/Wilmore area PLEASE let us know, we have to be out of here before November 1st. We are going to go to Wilmore today so wish us luck that we find something in our price range and that is clean.

Family Reunion?

As you all know, my Great Uncle Thurston passed away Thursday night around 10:30pm. You also know that my Uncle Gary from El Paso came in on Friday so that he could attend the funeral and go hunting with my dad, papaw, and other uncles. Saturday was a good day, I got to spend time with all of my uncles (my dad’s brother’s) and got to go visit Frosty and Tinker Bell (our German Sheppard's we gave to my uncle Mitch when we moved into our townhome because we had no where to put them). Tinker Bell was so happy to see me and Frosty was excited to see Ray and Callie (and me too of course).

But on Sunday, we had to drive to Williamsburg, KY for my Uncle Thurston’s lay out service. One good thing about Sunday was that I got to see family I hadn’t seen in probably 7-9 years. I really miss seeing that side of the family because when I was little we used to always visit them. Ray and I stayed and visited, the kids too, for three and a half hours until it was dinner time. So, I had to say good bye to my Uncle Gary because I wont see him again before he leaves due to them going hunting in Wisconsin for a week and then he is flying out of Chicago. 057

So that was my weekend. Not too much to talk about or maybe it’s just the opposite, too much to talk about. I love that Ray got to meet that side of the family and that they got to meet him and the kids. Hope everyone had a good weekend and have a good week, try not to work too hard.

My uncle Gary flew in today from El Paso Texas. I'm so exited since I haven't seen him in two years. We just got back from eating dinner with him and Anderson LOVED him. Callie wasn't too sure but she did kiss him bye and told him she loved him. I will be spending the day with him tomorrow and on Sunday we will be driving up to Northern Kentucky for my Great Uncle Thurston's funeral. Then uncle Gary is off with my dad, papaw, uncle Mitch and Uncle Charlie for a bird hunting trip. Yes, all of the Williams men together... I feel sorry for any one who crosses their path. I'm so happy that Uncle Gary got to come in for the hunting trip, they will have a blast together. The picture at the top is a picture of my Uncle Gary and Aunt Gloria with Callie in September of 2007 ,Callie was one month old. I'll post new pictures and new stories on Monday. Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!

Prayer Request for the Williams Family.

Yesterday, my great uncle Thurston Williams fell face down on concrete. He was flown to the University of Cincinnati hospital. He was having cerebral hemorrhaging. Ray and I rushed my grandparents to Cincinnati so that my papaw could be with his brother. We arrived at 4:15pm and at 5:30pm the took him off the respiratory because he was brain dead. It was very hard for me to walk in to that ICU room to see him laying there with all of those tubes and knowing that he was already brain dead. It made me wonder if his soul was already in heaven or if it was trapped there until the machines stopped breathing for him. As of 11:00pm last night, my uncle Thurston was still hanging on and breathing on his own. Although as much as I would like to hope that he will be okay, the truth is, I know he is not going to be with us much longer. I'm asking that everyone please pray for him and my family as we deal with a loss of a great Uncle, father, brother, and husband. He is a survivor of WWII. and received a 'Purple Heart'. He is 85 years old and a son of God and I know he had a long wonderful life fulled of many great experiences and I'm happy he is my Great Uncle and that I got to know him as I grew up. It had been two years, Callie was a month old, when Ray and I drove up to Northern Ky to visit him and my Aunt. He loved Callie and thought she was just the cutest little thing and loved Ray, they had a lot in common...it's an Army thing. I'm going to miss him but I know he is going HOME....and I know if he could tell us, he would say "Don't worry about me, I'm going to SEE our Father and Savior."

"I love you Uncle Thurston and I will miss you but I know we WILL see each other again one day."
