REMEMBERING 9/11/2001

Yesterday my computer was all messed up, so I was not able to post anything for the remembering of 9/11. As I sat here yesterday watching the news, it brought back the sadness I felt on that day 8 years ago. I remember I was home sick that week from school, I was a senior, and I had crawled in bed with my mom. I will never forget when my mom got out of bed and answered the phone to hear the news from my dad that something bad had happened in New York with the Towers. I jumped out of bed ran to the living room and turned on the TV, that's when I watched the SECOND plane hit. I yelled to my mom "OH MY GOD, A PLANE JUST CRASHED INTO THE OTHER TOWER." I knew then that AMERICA was under attack. It was a sad day for not only those who lost loved ones that day, but for this country. But, it did bring us all together to stand up for those lives lost. Even though many people in this country are against the war on terrorism, I AM NOT! I believe in it 100%! I think that it's good that we relive that day every year, I think many people need to be reminded how they felt that day and maybe remember that they were too ready to get the person/group responsible. I thank God that we had a president that wouldn't sit back and say "oh well" and stood up for this country and defended it! Ray was one who was sent to Iraq for the 'War on Terrorism' and he is honored that because he was over seas fighting this war, it made us here in America feel safe again.
