Remember my post about my daddy coming in for one night then going home on Wednesday after his meeting? Well some how, I'm still trying to figure it out, my dad finally talked me into letting Callie go to Pikeville with him. That's right, for the first time in her two years of life, I spent nights away from her. She had never stayed anywhere over night without me. I mean, honestly, the longest me and her had EVER been apart is the 8hrs right after she was born. So to say the least this was a challenge for mommy here. Yes, I still had Anderson to keep me busy but it just wasn't the same. I missed her SOOOOO much! But Ray and I did stay busy the whole time.
On Thursday, we went to look at a few SUV's we were interested in buying. Boy was that an adventure. We went to this one person's house who had an Explorer-Eddy Bauer edition and this thing was the dirtiest vehicle I had ever seen!! I didn't want to even stick my head in the door to look at anything because I was afraid of breathing in that nasty crap. Word to those out there trying to sell your car, CLEAN IT BEFORE SOMEONE COMES TO LOOK AT IT! So, you can imagine, we said NO to that one. Then we went to look at a Land Rover, which I LOVED. The only reason we said no it it was because we were trying to find a bigger SUV than what we had and the Rover was the same size just more head room. So after two disappointments, we came home to do some more researching. So on Friday we drove to Louisville where we bought our new Dodge Durango.
