A milestone for Mommy

I have reached a milestone today. I have finally gave in and I'm selling Callie's Crib bedding and all of the decor to go with it. This is a major milestone for me because I want to keep EVERYTHING to remind me of when Callie was a tinie tiny little thing. I guess it's really sad because I'm really realizing how fast she is growing up. Before I know it she will be coming home from school telling me about some boy that she likes in her class *tears*. It seems like only yesterday I was pregnant with her and anxiously awaiting her arrival. Well with that being said, I hope that I can go through with the sale if someone decided to buy it. I have already had two people contact me about it so I guess we'll see what happens. Good thing is I'm going out of town this weekend so I at least know it's safe in her closet until Tuesday.

A LONG WEEKEND AHEAD

This weekend my brother and sister have a long weekend so, I'm trying to plan a trip somewhere with my parents. Of course I want to go to Gatlinburg to go clothes shopping for the kids but my dad, for some odd reason, doesn't really want to go there. We have been to Gatlingburg every September since Callie was born, so I can't really figure out why this year would be any different. I would like to take Callie to Kings Island but it will be way too busy. So I'm stuck. I don't know what our plans will end up being but I think we need to decide soon before we can't find a cabin/room wherever we may decide to go. Happy hunting to me.

Way too busy

I hate that it has been a while since my last blog, but I have been so busy. For the past couple of weeks we have drove ALL over the place trying to find Ray a Jeep. Well thank GOD, he finally found one to buy that he liked and that was worth the asking price. I LOVE Jeep's and have always wanted one so I'm excited that my hubby bought one. It does need a little work, the previous owner's put a lift kit on it and you literally need a step latter to get in.

On Monday, since we didn't need to go traveling to find a Jeep, we traveled to Pikeville for a quick visit with my family. And when I say quick, I mean quick. We stayed one night then after dinner at Applebee's on Tuesday we came home, stopping by Hobert's to bring home a pizza first of course. The good thing for me about this trip was I finally got into Nicole, my hair lady, to have my hair cut. And I also had her to put in some highlights, which I haven't had done in THREE very long years. I really haven't felt like MYSELF with dark hair because my WHOLE life I have been a blonde, so to say the least it feels really good to have some blonde back in my life.

The kids of course enjoy seeing their Nanna, Poppy, JT (my little brother), and Aunt. But they don't really enjoy the long trips. TV and new comfortable car seats help but it only helps for a short time. And I hate to say that I didn't take any picture's with my camera because I thought that I had forgotten it here but turns out it was in my purse the whole time. Oh well, my dad took a bunch of pictures with his camera, I just didn't take the time to put they on a CD. So, as soon as I get them I will post them because we took some really cute picture's of Callie and Anderson at the Pikeville City Park.

Well, I have a cute little boy climbing up my legs and a little girl mad at me because I told her to share with her brother and she doesn't want too this morning, so it is time to be SUPER MOM - or at least try.

Mine and Ray's 'FIRST' Kids

As I was sitting here today I checked to see what the date was, then I realized, I missed Sergeant Major Harris' birthday (A.K.A. FROSTY). It's hard to believe that it has been 4yrs since Ray and I decided to take our relationship to the next level, buying a dog together. He wanted a German Shepard, I didn't until I saw some pictures of WHITE German Shepards. When we went to go get a WGSD, there was two litters..so that means A LOT of little WGSPuppies running around. As I watched all of them I was trying to figure out how to pick ONE. Then I noticed one was right under my feet. So I bent over and picked him up and he started GRUNTING. How could I resist that? I couldn't! So we brought him home and introduced him to Mimi (my toy puddle). Believe it or not they got along GREAT! The first night we had him, him and Mimi just played and played. So cute! I had Frosty house broke in only 2 WEEKS! He is such a smart and loving dog. When Ray would get up to leave for work, Frosty would jump up in the bed, lay on Ray's side of the bed and on his pillow, then he would lay his arm across me. YES, Frosty was a cuddlier! That had to be my favorite time of day. Now don't get me wrong, I loved cuddling with Ray but when Frosty did that, it was just too cute and sweet. I miss him SO much. When we found out that we were expecting AGAIN, and we knew we had to find a bigger place, we sent him to live with my Unlce Mitch in London, Ky. We decided that two babies and two German Shepards, we had bought Mercedes (AkA Sadie) after we had Frosty for about 3 or 4 months, was just too much. So as hard as it was, and it was one of the hardest thing Ray and I had to do, we sent Frosty and Sadie off to London where they will live the rest of their lives. Ray and I plan on trying to find another White German Shepard to breed Frosty with that was we can have a part Frosty dog for Callie and Anderson, but that is still way in the future. So until then 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST DOG EVER! WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!'

In the picture below I'm holding 'TinkerBell'. She was from Frosty and Sadie's first litter. She was my favorite from the time she was born, we kept her until she was 2. I miss her too, she's a big baby just like her dad (Frosty).

This is Sadie kissing Tink.
This is the day we gave Tink to my cousin. Boy, I miss her too.

Pros: Safe, Comfortable, Easy to Clean, Stylish, Easy to install, Easy to Adjust, Sturdy

Best Uses: Toddlers, Infants

Describe Yourself: Parent of Two or More Children

We looked for two days at car seats. When our daughter turned one we bought her a booster seat that didn't recline, we were trying to save money. See, we do a lot of traveling and every time the poor thing falls asleep she wakes up crying because her neck hurts her. We tried everything to prop up her little head and nothing seemed to work. So, when we were shopping for a new car seat for our seven month old, who has out grown his rear facing carseat already, we decided to spend the money and buy a comfortable and RECLING car seats for both of them. After looking and testing about 15 different carseats we chose this one and I'm happy we did. The kids love it! Mom and dad loves it too! It's very easy to install thanks to the new SURELATCH and reclines with ease! If you want a comfortable carseat for your kid/kids and that is easy to install and take out when needed, buy this carseat!
